Green has been interested in Slateport City after he heard about the museum he arrived in Hoenn. He figured that if his reason for travelling so much was to study, he might as well learn something about the history of this vast and surprisingly intriguing region. He had already learnt plenty of things about Hoenn as it was, but (as much as he would never admit it) he was having trouble adjusting to their customs. To say they weren’t all that far apart, Hoenn and Kanto were very difficult.
With a bag containing only the bare essentials (you know, clothes, 4 different hair combs, that sort of thing!) slung over his shoulder, Green walked through the city. Luckily for him, the museum was large enough to be seen from where he was standing, so he didn’t have to look like a tourist and could make his travel over there incredibly effortless. Not that he minded looking like a tourist, but right now he was here to learn. Not to take cool pictures.

Slateport City. A lovely city, really. Wallace's second, no third, favorite city in Hoenn. He found the place absolutely fabulous. Not only that, but Pokemon contests were held in Slateport, which was cool. However, he was not here for a pokemon contest. He stood in front of the Museum in Slateport. There was a new temporary exhibit about the places discovered by the new submarine.
It wasn't long before he spotted a somewhat familiar face, however he was much older-looking now. He saw his picture in the records of Champions. What a shame about his title; there was a timestamp on how long he was Champion. Rumor had it he was pretty strong. "Well, well, if it isn't Green Oak!" he called out, waving. "Over here, kiddo."

Did this complete stranger just call him kiddo? Who does this guy think he is?! But Green wasn’t home right now. He was here to learn, not to be hostile and confrontational. And he did enjoy being recognised in public… So he had to behave and just comply with this stranger’s instructions. And that is exactly what he did.
Green went over to the man – that if it were up to Green, would’ve been described as a lunatic – trying to not show any hostility. Despite this, he didn’t try to not seem full of himself. “And you are?” It was at least nice that this stranger had helped him to mask the fact that he didn’t belong here in Hoenn at all.
