PERSONALITY
Personality;
Morty is an intellectual thinker, so, therefore he takes much of his consideration in his words. He is very observant and analyzes all situations with care. He does, however have the tendency to brood often, which he tries his best to avoid so that he can prevent his mind from inquiring too deep into certain subjects/conversations/debates/etc.

Morty's people skills are very lacking and his conversations with others can often be viewed as very unusual and eccentric. He has a tendency to ask a lot of questions, but also often speaks directly from his thoughts and some of the things he says casually and comfortably often make people uncomfortable or fill them with worry. This is why he tries his best to put consideration into his words, so that he doesn't confuse or frighten challengers. He is also a fairly quiet person, both for this reason and because he spends more time thinking and trying not to brood than he does conversing, as well as spending a lot of time inside of a foggy gym.

Since Morty is an active thinker, he needed to find a way to keep himself from becoming stressed and frustrated. In means to keep calm he found many methods, which have made him a very relaxed person who doesn't have typical reactions to situations. He has also become a rather stoic person, as he can deal with pain and upset a lot easier than most and is not very likely to complain or show any hardships if he does feel pain. To some he can seem aloof, because of his tendency to uninvolve himself in situations, however he does have some friendships he truly treasures and is very glad to not have had any visions in relation to said relationships yet.

Morty also has a very large interest in legend. This includes the legendary bird Pokémon, Ho-Oh, of which he has had visions of in the past. He also has vast interest in Entei, Raikou and Suicune, much like Eusine, but not as extreme. Morty often talks about his encounter with the pokémon Entei and of the moment it looked him in the eyes.

Fears; ☠ Losing his clairvoyance. It's really important to him.

Aspirations; ♛ He once wanted to be the one to catch the legendary bird Pokémon Ho-Oh, but now he's looking for a new dream.

STRENGTHS + WEAKNESSES
Strengths;
✔ He has psychic abilities that allow him to somewhat see the future, these psychic abilities also work well for locating lost items.
✔ He fully understands the responsibility his role as gym leader takes and tries to properly portray this role to the best of his potential.
✔He is willing to go to great lengths to fully understand legend.

Weaknesses;
☒ His clairvoyance. As much as this can be a strength, it's also a weakness, because it makes him think a certain way and influences a lot of the decisions he makes.
☒ He can be seen as very rigid in personality.
☒ His calmness makes him stoic to the point where he is almost too calm for his own good, making him sometimes underestimate situations.

BIOGRAPHY
Background;
Morty's childhood started as expected. A very simple life in a simple neighborhood. He had a large family, with three brothers and a sister. He was in the middle of the age-line out of his siblings. His upbringing was quite traditional. Morty was never a playful or rowdy child, but he was rarely bored. He spent a lot of his time listening to others tell and read stories to him and his fascination with legends began to unearth itself.

However, at a young age he began thinking in an unusual manner for children of his age. Some of his thoughts were too mature and he would often have unusual visions. His parents were taken aback by some of the eccentric things their son was telling them he had seen, especially when the intelligent boy was unable to provide any evidence for what he was 'certain he'd seen'. They'd often call it childish imagination, but when his visions never diminished, they became a loathing about the ^child's abilities, to the point where it became fear.

Morty's parents would tell him he hadn't had enough sleep, or that he shouldn't drink so much caffein at night or even that he was just day dreaming, but he couldn't fully understand their fear and so he never ignored his visions. His parents would warn him to 'never speak about the visions to anyone'. He would try his best to follow these instructions, but when someone managed to get him talking he would either mention his perceptions of the future, or say something peculiar. People would often call him insane, and sometimes some derogatory words, but it never really phased him too much. He had one time allowed himself to get upset about it, to the very tip of almost hitting depression, but he occupied his mind long enough to see that it wasn't worth the upset.

When he was old enough, he left his home in hopes of finding a true understand of his visions. He eventually met a man named Eusine. The two became good friends, and Eusine taught Morty all about the legendary Pokémon in the Johto region, something he had a lot of interest in as a young child that returned to him the moment any names he could recall were mentioned. Morty's path to enlighten himself and fully understand his psychic ability seemed to draw him to Ecruteak City. He had heard a story about a group of women known as 'the Kimono Girls' and that they were involved with a legendary bird pokémon that seemed to fit the description of what he kept seeing in his visions.

The Kimono Girls tutored Morty and helped him to grow stronger, as well as assisting him on his final path of understanding his clairvoyance. They told him how useful that ability could be for him and that he should forever treasure it. Thanks to their help, he was able to take on the role of gym leader in Ecruteak with Ghost-Type Pokémon. A type of Pokémon that had always interested him.

The new gym leader of the city found himself needing to enter a place in his visions, what was once known as 'The Brass Tower' but became the 'The Burned Tower'. When he had made his way inside he managed to get a good look at the legendary Pokémon, Entei. It looked deep into his eyes and he paused for a brief moment. He felt like Entei was looking directly into the depths of his heart and it was the very finishing step of his journey of understanding his own mind.
