This was Cynthia's first time in Kalos, and that also meant it was her first time in Shalour City. With information from her colleague, Steven, she was informed of the existence of stones that would amplify the power present in the relationship of her and her Pokemon. It was something he referred to as Mega Evolution. She hoped she could spread that bond to her best friend, her Garchomp. She thought it would be important to perhaps ask someone, like a tourist. It's not as if she was a well-known Pokemon trainer in Kalos.
"Excuse me," she said to a stranger. "Do you perhaps know anything about where I can find information on the Mega Stones?"
